CHOIR CLINICIAN

Choir Workshop
David Puckett, Clinician

David Puckett grew up in rural Ohio, the son of a Methodist minister.  As a child, he sang in the Columbus Boys' Choir (now the famed American Boys' Choir).

Mr. Puckett received his BA in Music from Asbury College in 1977 and his Master's in Music from Asbury College and Yale University.

Mr. Puckett worked with the legendary choral conductor, Mr. Robert Shaw, for many years in Atlanta, Georgia.  While in Atlanta, he also conducted and worked with numerous professional music ensembles.

Mr. Puckett came to China in 1997 to teach English to Chinese students.  He has founded six schools since then offering after school and week-end English language programs in Changchun.  Presently, Mr. Puckett is opening schools in Shanghai.

Mr. Puckett is the current Conductor of the Shanghai International Festival Choir.
