Fine Arts Conference '08
Program Purpose and Standards of Expectations
The organizing members of the ACAMIS Fine ARTS Convention '08 established the following standards and expectations of excellence for all attending schools. These guidelines and the philosophy, purpose and standards behind them were set for one simple reason...
To bring together the brightest, most talented group of young artists in Central and Northern China as a means of offering insightful, challenging opportunities in creation and performance, facilitated by some of the world's most renown and respected artists.
GUIDELINES
1) Who should attend? Only the brightest, most responsible and highly talented students of each invited school in their specialty area for which they are registered. Those who attend should be those that are to most likely benefit, as the conference will offer them guidance and experience crucial in pursuing artistic expression and technique beyond secondary institutions and well into university endeavors.
2) All attending students must prepare their respective pieces in accordance with the requirements set forth in each discipline of music, theatre and visual art. This means all students will arrive ready to rehearse and perform to the best of their skills and technique. Conference clinicians will then focus on guiding each and every student beyond their current abilities and help them navigate un-chartered waters. It is through this expectation and design that students shall push their limits in concert with the purpose and standards set forth by the convention's organizers.
