Vlade Divac Basketball Camp - A Huge
Success! Concordia
proudly hosted the Vlade Divac Group Seven Summer Basketball Camp August 12-14. 130 basketball players
from both the local Chinese and expatriate community in Shanghai, attended the three
day camp. Many of the players had recently returned or moved to
Shanghai to start the new school year! The
highlight of the camp was the active participation of NBA Players, Vlade Divac
and Peja Stojakovic
with the campers. All of the campers received an
individual photo with Vlade and a Spalding basketball as
participants in the basketball camp.Congratulations to Concordia's own, Steven Mao, Austin Hulse, Caitlin Kloos and Matthew Bausch for winning various awards during the basketball camp. Thank you to Rob Hulse for taking photos throughout the camp weekend! Vlade also held basketball camps in Beijing, Shantou and Anshan. Proceeds from the basketball camps will benefit Concordia's Yunnan Education Project, Li Kai Shing Foundation and Divac's own, Group Seven Children's Foundation. Thank you Vlade, Peja and the entire teams of Group Seven and NBA Cares for a great camp! Concordia looks forward to hosting the camp again next year. |
